Export information to CSV files

The data you store in Nutshell belongs to you. Our export tools and open API make it easy to work with your data in any way you want.

Exporting contacts and accounts

To export your accounts or contacts, go to the appropriate tab, and click the export button. Your browser will immediately download a CSV file. Note that your currently-chosen filters will still be applied, so you can export all accounts of a certain type or industry.

Note that administrators can limit the ability of users to generate exports. This option is configurable from the Setup tab.

Exporting leads

Using custom reports, you can export your leads, including most of their associated data. Use filters to gather the appropriate data, then click the Export button. Your browser will download all of the filtered leads, with the data in all currently-selected columns. Read more about Nutshell's reports.

Generate complete backups

Administrators can generate an export of all accounts, contacts, leads, products, and notes. Nutshell will bundle this collection of CSV files into an easy-to-manage zip file. Use this tool for legal compliance, or data portability. At any time, you can visit Setup > Backups. and create a new backup. You will receive an email when your zip file is ready to download.
