Working with milestones

In Nutshell, you have a set of four global milestones that mark your progress in leads. Use milestones report on the progress of your leads as they move through the sales cycle

Milestones

Processes consist of steps, separated by milestones. You can rename your milestones under Setup > Milestones. Reports can be generated to split up leads by their current milestones. Since a lead doesn't advance until all steps in the milestone are completed, you have more precisely-defined stages.

Why can't I have different milestones per process?

Many times a lead will have more than one process attached to it (via overlays, triggered processes, etc.). Having a single, global set of milestones allows steps from different processes to mesh together. You can rename your company's milestones, but all processes will share the same milestones.

Can I add more than four milestones?

Yes. Email our support team and we can add up to six total milestones. We don't allow this to be done directly, because it will not be possible to remove milestones. Removing a milestone would result in the loss of all steps in that milestone.

Reporting on milestones

You can use custom reports to generate reports on the milestones of your leads. We have plans to add a streamlined funnel report to see where your leads fall off.
