Frontend Web Developer
Nutshell is looking for a full-time on-site UI developer with extensive Javascript interface experience. This position will allow you to sculpt an application from the ground up, while working with a team of talented developers and designers.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Extensive web UI development experience with Javascript frameworks like jQuery and Prototype
- Strong experience in pixel-perfect, cross-browser HTML and CSS
- Strong frontend development skill, especially for complex forms and client-side graphs
- Experience in AJAX/XHR communication with server-side applications
- Enthusiasm for implementing the detail and polish of a well-designed interface
Preferred candidates will have:
- Background in PHP development, Git workflows
- Background in mobile UI design
iPhone/iPad Developer
Nutshell currently has an iPhone application under development, and will soon be opening development on an iPad application, both of which are full-featured companions to the Nutshell web application. This is a funded startup, with significant development already accomplished. Nutshell is located in downtown Ann Arbor.
The position will include providing input during UI design and conversations, coordinating your development within a team, and utilizing existing documentation to communicate with the cloud.
Qualified applicants will have:
- Experience in creating an iPhone application, from conception to App Store submission.
- Ability to reproduce pixel-accurate interfaces from mockups
- Background in network communication on the iPhone (JSON-RPC, SOAP, etc)
- Experience and strength in working within a team of developers and designers
- Enthusiasm for implementing the detail and polish of a well-designed app
Preferred applicants will have:
- Experience in i18n/l10n techniques on the iPhone
- Worked with data-intensive iPhone applications, including client-side caching, server queuing and complex forms
- Background in other web technologies
