Integrate TimelinesAI With Nutshell
TimelinesAI connects WhatsApp to Nutshell, giving your team a 360-degree view of every WhatsApp conversation directly on the contact’s timeline. Incoming and outgoing WhatsApp messages sync automatically into Nutshell as notes, new senders create contacts automatically, and reps can send WhatsApp messages straight from Nutshell by adding a note. It works with your existing WhatsApp numbers — no WhatsApp Business API required — and supports multiple numbers in one shared team inbox.

- Two-way message sync: Every incoming WhatsApp message is logged as a “WhatsApp In” note on the matching Nutshell contact, and every message your team sends (from TimelinesAI or their phone) is logged as a “WhatsApp Out” note — the full conversation lives on the contact timeline.
- Automatic contact creation: Messages from unknown numbers create a new Nutshell contact with the sender’s name and phone number. Existing contacts are matched by phone number, so no duplicates.
- Send WhatsApp from Nutshell: Add a note starting with “wa:” on any contact and the integration delivers the rest of the note as a WhatsApp message to that contact’s number, then logs it back on the timeline.

Setup instructions
- Create a TimelinesAI account and connect at least one WhatsApp number.
- Open the integration page and click “Connect Nutshell CRM”.
- In Nutshell, go to Settings > Connections > API keys, click “Add API key”, and copy the key.
- On the connection form, enter your Nutshell login email and paste the API key, then click “Validate & continue with TimelinesAI”. Credentials are validated against Nutshell immediately.
- Sign in with your TimelinesAI account and approve the connection.
