Using generative AI, Nutshell supports full transcriptions and AI-generated summaries of your Zoom meetings. The new AI-powered Zoom enhancements enable your team to: 

  • Get a full meeting transcription with just a click — searchable from any contact, company, or lead timeline
  • Generate a summary of key highlights, action items, and next steps
  • Access all Zoom calls in the dedicated Meetings section of the Nutshell Sales dashboard

These features help your team recap Zoom meetings and keep track of important details. Your entire team can review past conversations without asking for updates or digging through personal notes. How does Nutshell’s AI create summaries from Zoom meetings?

To generate a transcript and summary in Nutshell, open any in-progress or logged Zoom activity and check the boxes next to “Transcribe this call after logging” and “Automatically summarize this call”.

The transcript and summary process automatically once the call is logged. They’ll appear in your logged activity within a few moments.

From there, you can access them anywhere you see the Zoom activity — the Activities section on the Sales dashboard, or from the timelines of any Person, Company, or Lead linked to the call.

How can I access this feature?

The ability to generate AI transcriptions and summaries of your Zoom calls is available to all Nutshell users. But note that AI summarization limits apply, depending on your Nutshell plan.

What else is new?

Along with AI-powered transcriptions and summarizations, Nutshell’s Zoom integration got a few additional updates:

  • Nutshell now detects Zoom activities in your Activity list and displays them with a Zoom icon so they’re easier to spot. 
  • The new Zoom activity modal makes it easier to log, take notes, and connect with your Zoom calls directly from Nutshell.
  • All your Zoom meetings are now accessible in a new Meetings section in the Sales menu, meaning you no longer need to search through your Settings. From here, you can log your meetings, view recordings, and see all your Zoom calls at a glance.
  • The new Zoom Settings page lets you choose whether to log Zoom calls manually or automatically.

In the future, you’ll also be able to access Microsoft Teams and Google Meet calls from the Meetings section.

If you cancel your account, your data may be retained in archive records per Nutshell’s standard data retention policies.
