On the ProspectorIQ page in Nutshell, search for your ideal customer using a number of different person and company filters—from contact information, social media profiles, and job title to industry and location. ProspectorIQ searches through our extensive database to find the people and companies matching your criteria.
Once you’ve identified a person you’d like to add to Nutshell, use a credit to unlock the individual’s contact information and add them to Nutshell.
Then you and your sales team can add them to your Nutshell Campaigns outreach, email drip sequence, or reach out directly to make a connection and start working your new lead.
How do I get started with ProspectorIQ?
All Nutshell customers have 10 free company-wide IQ credits per month, which can be used to unlock contacts identified with any of our three Nutshell IQ tools. You can use these credits to identify and unlock people through ProspectorIQ and test out the tool.

ProspectorIQ uses our third-party databases of over 200 million people and companies in the United States. It’s powered by People Data Labs and KickFire, and their data is pretty awesome. However, some emails and phone numbers might not always hit the mark, as people can sometimes switch things up. We refresh our data regularly for the best results.
What filters are available in ProspectorIQ?
People filters include: Name, Has email address/phone number/LinkedIn, Title, Role. Company filters include: Name, Industry, Location, Size (revenue or employees).
How do ProspectorIQ credits work?
ProspectorIQ credits come from the Nutshell IQ credit pool. Credits can be used to unlock new contacts using ProspectorIQ, PeopleIQ, and/or VisitorIQ. All teams with a Nutshell plan have 10 free credits to use every month if they want to test out ProspectorIQ, PeopleIQ, and VisitorIQ before adding Nutshell IQ to their plan.
How can I get more credits for ProspectorIQ?
Additional credits can be purchased through your billing page in Nutshell. Credits are available as a monthly package and can’t be purchased individually.
Can I find new contacts who don’t live in the United States?
ProspectorIQ currently only identifies people and companies located in the United States.
