Andy is the CEO and co-founder of Nutshell, a next-action CRM serving 20,000 users across 5,000 companies. Despite never planning to start a business, Andy’s curiosity and passion for building things led him to become one of the most respected voices in the CRM and sales automation space.

Entrepreneurial Journey

In 2004, Andy co-founded Paradigm Reborn, a web development company. Through hands-on experience building websites and digital solutions for various clients, Andy gained deep insights into how businesses operate, how they manage information, and where inefficiencies exist.

CTI Networks acquired the company in 2008, where Andy continued to grow his technical and business expertise as the company scaled from a startup to over 100 employees.

Before founding Nutshell, Andy served as an Instructor at the University of Kentucky, developing curriculum and teaching web publishing and design. This experience reinforced his belief that great software should be intuitive and beautiful, principles that would later define Nutshell’s DNA.

Building Nutshell

In November 2009, Andy met fellow co-founder Guy Suter at a local dial-up internet company. Together, they launched Nutshell at the Future of Web Design conference with a singular vision: to build a CRM that was genuinely easy to use, beautifully designed, and obsessed with helping customers succeed.

For a decade (2009-2020), Andy served as CTO and Co-Founder, leading product development while maintaining an unwavering commitment to customer obsession, design excellence, and radical transparency.

In January 2020, Andy stepped into the CEO role, just weeks before the pandemic changed everything. As Andy shared on the Growing with Purpose podcast (February 2022), his approach to leadership is rooted in integrity and customer focus, developing the potential of his team, and long-term thinking over short-term wins.
