If you’re considering HubSpot CRM and Insightly but are struggling to choose between them, you’ve come to the right place. Both CRMs offer significant benefits to users — that’s why we’re breaking down the pros and cons of each platform. Plus, we’ll see how they compare based on several critical aspects of a great CRM. Keep reading to learn more about how HubSpot and Insightly compare!
Two of the biggest customer relationship management (CRM) platforms on the market are Insightly and HubSpot. They definitely aren’t the only options out there, but many businesses—possibly including yours—find themselves stuck trying to decide between the two platforms.
To learn about the pros and cons of each platform and how they stack up on several key components of a good CRM, just keep reading.
When you choose HubSpot as your CRM, you’ll reap several different benefits. Here are some of the main advantages of HubSpot:
As nice as the benefits listed above may be, HubSpot also comes with its share of disadvantages. Those include:
Just like HubSpot, Insightly has plenty of benefits built in. Here are some of the biggest ones:
Insightly may have a lot of good things going for it, but it also has some disadvantages, including:
Now that we’ve looked at the pros and cons of both Insightly and HubSpot, it’s time to explore how the two platforms compare to one another. To do this, we’ll look at five key elements of a good CRM. This HubSpot CRM vs. Insightly comparison is summarized in the table below.
Let’s now look a bit more deeply at how HubSpot and Insightly compare to one another.
Pricing is always one of the biggest considerations when you buy a new tool. So, which costs more — Insightly or HubSpot?
As we’ve already mentioned, HubSpot offers a free plan, whereas Insightly does not. The cheapest of its paid plans costs $30 per month. However, the most expensive HubSpot plan costs $5000 per month!
In contrast, Insightly’s plans start at $29 per user per month and go up to $99. That means that HubSpot technically offers the cheapest plan but also the most expensive (by far)! So, we’ll call this one a tie overall — but if you want to go for one of the paid plans, Insightly definitely wins.
Another important quality of a CRM is ease of use. If your CRM isn’t user-friendly, using it won’t be a very good experience. So, how do Insightly and HubSpot stack up in this category?
HubSpot is definitely the weak link here. While it’s user-friendly in some aspects, it’s mostly very hard to navigate. On the other hand, Insightly is very navigable and intuitive, offering a positive user experience. So, the obvious winner in this category is Insightly.
The whole point of a CRM is to gather and analyze customer data. Reporting is a big part of that. So, which tool is better at generating reports?
Both tools do well in this category. Insightly can generate comprehensive reports on a variety of metrics, as can HubSpot. However, HubSpot does win in this category simply because its reports are more customizable. Customization is definitely not Insightly’s strong suit, as we mentioned in the list of Insightly cons earlier.
Once again, Insightly and HubSpot both score well here. Both tools offer quite a few integrations, and in both cases, many of those integrations are native to their respective tools. Having said that, Insightly wins purely based on numbers. HubSpot offers over 1000 integrations, but Insightly offers over 2000.
Finally, we have sales automation features. It’s hard to choose a winner here — both HubSpot and Insightly offer plenty of useful automation tools within the CRM. Just like with reporting, though, HubSpot wins by a narrow margin due to one simple reason: Customization. You can customize your automation setup more in HubSpot, so it takes this point.
Now that we’ve finished comparing them, we can get back to our core question: Which is better, HubSpot or Insightly?
The answer depends on your unique needs. If customization is a big priority for you, or if you’d be happy with a free plan, HubSpot is the best option. But if you want more integration options or a more user-friendly experience, Insightly is better.
Of course, it’s entirely possible that you don’t feel good about using either HubSpot or Insightly. In that case, you can always choose a different CRM altogether, one that combines the strengths of both tools.
