  • 1. What is CRM email and calendar integration?

    CRM email and calendar integration is the connection between your customer relationship management (CRM) software and your email client, typically Google or Office 365. 

    With this connection, users can monitor email communication and schedule appointments directly from their CRM. There’s no need for users to switch between their email application and CRM system because every action taken within one or the other is synchronized and appears in both.

  • 2. Does Nutshell offer CRM email integration with Google, Microsoft Office 365, and other email and calendar providers?

    Yes. Nutshell users can easily integrate with their Google or Office 365 email and calendar providers to sync emails and calendar events. It’s also possible to synchronize Nutshell with other email and calendar platforms by providing the SMTP hostname, port type, and port number associated with your email server.

  • 3. How do I set up CRM email and calendar sync in Nutshell?

    Syncing your Nutshell CRM platform with your email and calendar service is easy when you follow these quick steps:

    1. Ensure the email address for the account you want to sync is listed in your Nutshell profile—Only one email address is permitted per account, but you can connect up to five via SMTP.
    2. Next, go to “Your settings” > ”Email send” and click on the “Set up email with Nutshell” button.
    3. Choose your email provider—Google, Office 365, or another—-and follow the instructions to connect your email with Nutshell.
    4. Then, navigate to “Your settings” > “Sync email,” toggle the email sync switch next to your email address to “ON,” and follow the prompts to complete email synchronization.
    5. Head over to “Your settings” > “Calender,” click the “Enable” button next to your email address, and select the activity types you’d like to sync—all, important, or none.

    You can also configure email and calendar sync settings further, such as allowing two-way sync or automatically sharing emails with your team.
