Who can become a Nutshell affiliate?

We’re looking for affiliate partners who want to share CRM solutions with their audience or contacts. To successfully refer customers, you’ll need an audience of sales and marketing professionals, business owners, or business leaders who might be interested in CRM solutions.

Various types of organizations and individuals can succeed in our partner program, including blog and website publishers, review sites, social media content creators, consultants and coaches, software marketplaces, and business service providers.

Do I need to be a Nutshell customer?

You can participate in the partner program whether you’re a Nutshell customer or not. We do encourage our partners to start a free trial to get familiar with Nutshell, but doing so is not required.

What promotion methods are accepted?

Partners can promote Nutshell through a variety of methods, including direct referrals to clients or contacts, content marketing, search engine optimization, email newsletters, social media marketing, and paid advertising, although bidding on Nutshell’s branded keywords is strictly prohibited.

How do I join the program?

To join the partner program, simply apply by filling out this five-minute form. Our team will then review your application and get back to you shortly.

Does it cost anything to become a partner?

The partner program is free to join. There are never any fees or minimum sales requirements.

How do I get my application approved?

To increase your chances of application approval, follow the tips below:

  • Fill out the application and your information in Impact as completely as possible.
  • Ensure your audience and Nutshell’s audience align. Your audience should include sales and marketing professionals or business owners and leaders.
  • Have a quality website or social media presence. Add links to any online media properties you plan to use to promote Nutshell in Impact. Ensure these websites are active, are free of technical errors, and contain quality content.
  • Ensure your content is relevant to Nutshell. It should cover topics related to business, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, software, or other similar subjects.
  • Know how you plan to promote Nutshell. Add the channels you plan to use in Impact and feel free to message us in Impact or reach out here to provide more information about your plans. This may be especially important if you plan to refer Nutshell directly to your contacts.

What is Impact?

Impact is the partnership management software we use to run our partner program. When signing up for our partner program, you will create an Impact account. Once approved, you can use Impact to generate tracking links, access resources, and report on your clicks, referrals, and earnings.

How do I get paid?

If any of your referrals sign up for a Nutshell subscription after clicking one of your links or assets, you’ll receive a commission on the total cost of that referral’s Nutshell subscription for the first year they’re a customer. Referrals are tracked and payments are sent automatically.

You will receive your commission through Impact approximately 50-80 days after a referral purchases a Nutshell subscription.

Actions, such as purchasing a Nutshell subscription, are “locked” 27 days after the end of the month in which they are tracked. Once an action is locked, it can no longer be modified in Impact. The purpose of this locking period is to provide time to resolve any issues that might occur related to an action or make any necessary adjustments.

Twenty days after the end of the month in which they lock, approved transactions are paid. At this point, you will receive your commission through Impact.

Example: If one of your referrals purchases a Nutshell subscription on June 28th, that action will “lock” on July 27th and your payment for that action will pay out on August 20th.

What happens after I sign up to be a partner?

After you sign up for the partner program, our team will review your application. You will then receive an email indicating whether your application was approved.

What should I do after becoming a partner?

After becoming a partner, complete any final setup steps in Impact. You can then generate your first tracking link and begin adding it to content. Our partner program guide walks through the essential steps to getting started with Impact.

After your application is approved, you will also receive a series of onboarding emails that will help you get started.

What does it take to be a successful partner?

To succeed as a partner, you will need to regularly share information about Nutshell and your tracking link with sales and marketing professionals, business owners, or business leaders who need what Nutshell offers.

This may involve creating various types of content related to Nutshell, CRM, sales, marketing, or other relevant topics as well as adding your link to existing content. For some partners, it may involve discussing Nutshell directly with contacts and then sharing your link with them.

Keeping up with the latest Nutshell updates and features through our email newsletters, social media, and website can also help you talk about Nutshell more effectively and come up with new content ideas.
