Guy Suter is Co-founder and Chairman of Nutshell, the customer relationship management platform trusted by 5,000+ companies across 50 countries to sell smarter and grow faster.

With 17 years stewarding Nutshell from launch to industry leadership, Guy brings unfiltered perspective on what it takes to build products customers actually want to use. His entrepreneurial career spans 20+ years from co-founding BitLeap (a data backup innovator acquired by Barracuda Networks) to leading Barracuda’s storage business unit to $100M+ annual sales, to founding multiple ventures including the Trove relationship intelligence platform (which he openly discusses as a five-year failure) and AMPLL, a workplace energy management tool.

Beyond Nutshell, Guy is co-founder of Cahoots, a 30K-square-foot tech hub in downtown Ann Arbor dedicated to amplifying the startup community and helping entrepreneurs succeed. He’s also a Science Olympiad Coach, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovators.

Guy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State Harrisburg (graduated Magna Cum Laude) and is known for his authentic, transparent approach to founder leadership, sharing both successes and failures with candor that resonates with the startup community.

Professional Background

Guy’s superpower isn’t just building successful companies. It’s being honest about the journey. He’ll tell you about BitLeap, Nutshell’s early vision, Barracuda’s scale, Trove’s failure, and what he learned when building Cahoots. In a tech world often defined by hype, Guy’s transparent voice on startup culture, product philosophy, and resilience stands out. He’s the founder who shares both wins and losses, because that’s how others learn.
