You can now add an ‘Other’ option to decision fields—radio buttons, dropdowns, and checkboxes—on any Nutshell form. When a respondent’s answer isn’t on your list, they can select ‘Other’ and type their own response.

It’s a per-form setting that doesn’t change your custom field options, and every write-in answer is clearly marked as ‘Other’ across your submissions, records, and list views—so you collect more accurate data without cluttering your fields.

You can now upload contracts, proposals, and terms as reusable templates, auto-fill them with your CRM data, and send them to leads for secure e-signing—without leaving Nutshell.

Every signature is captured with a full audit trail, and a signed document can move a lead forward in your sales process. You can even require a signature to accept a quote, so the agreement your buyer reviews is the one that closes the deal.

Bringing data into Nutshell just got smoother. The redesigned CSV importer lets you create new custom fields right inside the import flow, so you no longer have to stop and build them first.

A running summary shows what will happen before you import—which columns are mapped, what’s being ignored, and how many new tags, sources, or field options you’re about to create—so there are no surprises.

Nutshell’s AI lead summaries just got smarter. Now you can add your own instructions so every summary focuses on what matters to your team, ask Nutshell AI direct questions about a lead’s history, and get quick recaps and suggested next steps.

Plus, lead summaries are now available on more plans, including Nutshell Pro—so more of your team can get up to speed on any lead in seconds.

Click the Search bar or press “⌘K” to open the window. Use the upgraded search view as normal.  Use the Commands tab to quickly find a section of Nutshell or trigger a new action, like creating a lead or logging an activity.

It’s also smarter! The more you use it, the smarter it gets. It learns from your most frequent and most recent pages and suggests them first.

Nutshell automatically detects potential duplicates by matching on name, email, or phone number — and groups them so you can actually do something about them. You can enter Manage duplicates mode from your People and Company lists.

Review and merge pairs individually or use Auto-merge to handle everything in one action. Every merge is logged in the timeline, and a full record is kept of what was merged in each operation. Available on all plans.

Deals don’t always pay out in one lump sum. Revenue installments let you define a custom payment schedule on any lead — each with its own date, amount, and status (collected or failed). 

A new installments report shows your cash flow by payment date instead of close date, giving you an accurate picture of when revenue actually lands.

Getting the right data to the right people shouldn’t require someone to log in and export it every time. Scheduled report emails let you set up automatic exports from any saved list in Nutshell and deliver them to any email address — on your team or outside it — on a recurring schedule.

Configure as many schedules as you need, send to any recipient, and manage everything from a single admin view.

Numeric custom fields are a new field type in Nutshell for people, companies, and leads. They enforce number-only input, display values with proper formatting, and unlock filters like Greater than, Less than, Between, Has any value, and Has no value.

If you’re already storing numbers in a text field, Nutshell will help you find and convert those fields automatically — no data loss, no disruption. Available on all plans.

When you schedule an activity in Nutshell, you can now send real calendar invitations to your external participants. Each person gets a proper invite, and you can see their RSVP status — accepted, declined, or pending — directly on the activity.

The Location field has also been upgraded to support video conferencing links. Add a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams URL and it’s automatically included in the invitation for everyone you invite.

Assign quotas directly to individual team members — type in the exact number you want for any month or quarter.

Enter quarterly totals and Nutshell distributes them across months automatically. Import a full team’s quotas from a spreadsheet. Plan future years in advance. A per-team rollup still shows team totals at a glance.

Set tasks to repeat on any schedule — every X days, weeks, or months — with quick defaults like “Weekly on Wednesday” or “Monthly on the 1st.”

Recurring tasks now work on lead pages, not just contacts and companies, and any existing task can be converted into a recurring one. You can also choose how the next task is scheduled: based on a fixed due date or relative to when you completed the last one.

You can now schedule one-on-one emails instead of sending them immediately. Choose a quick option like “Tomorrow at 9am” or “Monday at 9am,” or set a custom date and time.

Scheduled emails appear in the Automated Emails Active tab, where you can edit, reschedule, or cancel them anytime.

Nutshell’s chatbot now pulls from the same up-to-date knowledge that powers your smart nudges, so it can actually answer the questions it suggests. Knowledge is automatically refreshed so your chatbot never serves outdated information.

You can also test any question and see exactly how the chatbot would respond — with citations showing which pages informed the answer.

You can now personalize email templates with any custom field from your CRM — not just first name, last name, and company.

Insert custom field merge tags directly into your templates, with improved display that includes an entity icon and fallback text so your emails always look polished, even when a field is empty.

Breaking up your forms questions onto multiple pages (or steps) can help improve the form fill experience for your customers.

Additionally, we added conditional branching capabilities to our forms. That means, based on the answer to a specific question, you may want to show one Lead a different 2nd or 3rd question compared to a different Lead.

We’ve launched a major enhancement to Nutshell’s Email marketing: the ability to run A/B tests on your marketing emails.

A/B testing lets you create two versions of a campaign and test which one results in more conversions from your audience.
